OLIS Closed Cycle Cooling Box for Xenon Arc Lamp, 150W and 450W
SKU: OLIS-CCCB-150W
OLIS Closed Cycle Cooling Box for Xenon Arc Lamp, 150W and 450W
This small Closed Cycle Cooling Box circulates water through the lamp housing, back to the CCCB for re-cooling, and then through housing again. This continuous cycle eliminates the need for an external source of water.
It is recommended to include plugging the lamp power supply into the CCCB, so that the lamp will be shutoff immediately if the coolant flow is compromised. This prevents accidental lamp overheating and explosion. Monthly replacement of water also recommended.
Reliable. Simple. Successful!
Features:
- Cooling box Includes pump, a heat exchange coil, and one fan to dissipate the heat of the lamp
- 3kg (6.6lbs) in weight
- 10"x8"x5.5" footprint
- A pressure sensor and a safety interlock system ensure that the lamp being cooled cannot be operated unless the cooling box is connected and operating correctly.
- Fan-cooled radiator cooling
- Compatible with all water-cooled lamp housings for 150-watt XE lamps
- Outlet AC line powers both the cooling box and the lamp power supply
- Inlet AC line for lamp power supply
- Inlet for water returning from lamp housing
- Outlet for water exiting cooling box to lamp housing
- Larger model available for 450W sources.
Applications:
All top spectrofluorometers and all circular dichroism (CD) spectrometers use a 150-watt (or 450-watt) xenon arc lamp. Many of these lamps require water cooling. Water-cooled xenon lamp systems, like those used in aging test chambers, are used to cool xenon lamps, which produce intense light and heat, to prevent damage, overheating, and to improve lamp lifespan and stability.
