OLIS Phosphorescence Lifetime PLT3
SKU: OLIS-PLT3-Package
OLIS Phosphorescence Lifetime PLT3
Originally developed as an enhancement to a CLARiTY for measuring dissolved oxygen during an absorbance measurement, the PLT3 became a free-standing instrument in 2019. Today, it is commonly added to CPL spectrometers to quantify emission as phosphorescence or fluorescence. Acquires a decay curve up to 4,000 times per second for microsecond lifetime measurements.
Reliable. Simple. Successful!
Features:
- Small footprint of only 9"x7"x6"!
- Direct alternative to time correlated single photon counting.
- Fast and flexible. Collect a decay curve up to 4,000 times per second.
- Microsecond Phosphorescence Lifetime
- Oxygen measurement in solution or suspension
- Directly determine photoluminescence rate, as well as detect chemiluminescence
- Pedagogical System for teaching phosphorescence
- Use a digital oscilloscope for detecting artifact sources caused by linearly polarized light
- Can be purchased as a free-standing system OR as a bundle with the hardware/software for seamless integration of the Phosphorescence Lifetime into an OLIS spectrophotometer, where the sample compartment and computerization come from the host instrument. Applications:
Quantifying emission as either fluorescence or phosphorescence is crucial because it reveals fundamental differences in the molecular processes involved, particularly in the excited state lifetimes and spin multiplicity of the emitted light.
