Sample Requirements

  • Each test requires two samples of the same size, with at least one flat surface, sufficient to clamp the thermal probe.

  • Low-conductivity material sample requirements:

    • Recommended dimensions: length and width > 20 × 20 mm, thickness > 3 mm.
    • If the thickness is less than 3 mm, provide multiple samples.
    • For high-conductivity materials such as metals: dimensions > 50 × 50 × 20 mm.
  • Powder and liquid sample requirements:

    • Recommended quantity: 100–200 ml (minimum 15 ml). However, specific testing conditions may vary; if only the minimum quantity can be provided, please confirm with the project manager.
  • Non-flat thin film sample requirements:

    • For insulating low-conductivity materials like fabrics and textiles, provide 4–12 pieces for layered testing. Layers should reach a total thickness of 2 mm for testing, with a diameter > 2 cm.
    • For flat thin film samples: dimensions > 30 mm × 30 mm × (10 µm–1 mm, preferably in micrometer precision), 2 pieces of the sample.
  • Sample requirements for specific heat testing:

    • For solid samples: maximum thickness of 5 mm, diameter of 19 mm (preferably over 10 mm in diameter).
