Two-Dimensional Wide-Angle X-ray Diffraction (2D-WAXD) Analytical Service
SKU: 2DWAXD001
Overview
Two-Dimensional Wide-Angle X-ray Diffraction (2D-WAXD) is a powerful analytical technique used to investigate the crystalline structures and molecular orientations within materials at the atomic or molecular scale. Unlike traditional X-ray diffraction, which provides one-dimensional data, 2D-WAXD captures diffraction patterns in two dimensions, allowing for detailed insights into sample orientation, texture, and structural heterogeneity. This makes it particularly valuable in studying polymers, complex composites, biological samples, and other anisotropic materials, where structural properties vary depending on direction.

Sample Requirement
For thin film (sheet-like) samples, the typical dimensions are 0.7 cm in width, 2.5 cm in length, and less than 5 mm in thickness. If the sample quantity is limited, it can be prepared with dimensions of 0.7 cm by 0.7 cm, with a thickness of less than 5 mm. For fiber samples, it is preferable to bundle them neatly, with longer lengths being acceptable.
