Bioneer’s AccuPrep Genomic DNA Extraction Kit allows easy and reliable extraction of total genomic DNA from various samples. Its average yield is 6 µg of total genomic DNA from 200 µl of whole human blood, and up to 20 µg from 5 x 10⁶ lymphocytes, from 25 - 50 mg mammalian tissue, or from 10⁴ -10⁸ cultured cells. AccuPrep Genomic DNA Extraction Kit employs glass fiber-fixed AccuPrep column, which specifically binds DNA in the presence of chaotropic salt. Proteins and other contaminants are eliminated through a series of short wash-and-spin steps. Finally, the attached genomic DNA is eluted by low salt solution, and is ready for immediate use. The whole process does not require phenol/chloroform extraction, alcohol precipitation, or other burdensome steps. This kit is also suitable to be used with whole blood treated with either citrate or EDTA.
