Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ) is an advanced material that offers excellent mechanical properties, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. These beads are high density, making them ideal for high-energy mills where maximizing throughout is essential. These beads are produced with premium zircon (ZrSiO4) through a high-temperature sintering process. This medium-density grinding media offers a lower price point and excellent breakage resistance, ideal for large-volume agitated bead mills. The nature of the material and process ensures each bead is perfectly spherical and extremely smooth.

Zirconia Toughened Alumina (ZTA) beads and balls are a unique product developed by CHEMCO. Industrial tests have proven this grinding media offers up to 15 times higher wear resistance than various high-alumina qualities. Select larger sizes up to ∅70 mm for ball mills or use them to substitute high alumina grinding media. ZTA is also suitable for fine-grinding zircon and dry or wet grinding applications. 

  • Available in big sizes balls up to 70 mm, especially suitable for ball mills

  • At least 2 times better in wear resistance than “the best” high alumina ( 90 - 92 % Al2O3 ) media in the world market, proved by many tests

 Zirconia Alumina Composite beads are also developed by CHEMCO and combine the advantageous properties of two advanced ceramic materials — ZrO2 and Al2O3. Notable properties are high toughness and breakage resistance. These smooth ceramic grinding beads offer low wear on internal mill components and are an excellent substitute for glass and other low-medium density grinding media.
