Applications:

Potassium carbonate (K2CO3) is a white salt that is soluble in water. It is widely used in production of glass or optical materials. High purity potassium carbonate is used for analytical reagents, such as high purity analysis, emission spectrum analysis, buffer agent. It is also used as a mild drying agent for drying an organic phase. It may also be used to dry some ketones, alcohols, and amines prior to distillation.
