The MSE PRO™ Amaranth red is an azo dye, easily soluble in water, red solution with blue light, soluble in glycerol and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in most organic solvents. It is easy to discolor when meet copper and iron, easy to be decomposed by bacteria, poor resistance to oxidation and reduction. It is mainly used in beverage and food industry. It is also considered as an endocrine disruptor.

Applications:
Amaranthine red is used as a biological stain to visualize crop contraction in butterflies under a microscope. Used in electrophoresis gels to track migration in front of the electrode buffer. Can be applied to natural and synthetic fibers, leather, paper, and phenol-formaldehyde resins.
