The MSE PRO™ Anthraquinone is an anthracene compound, a thick ring organic compound, soluble in toluene and nitrobenzene, slightly soluble in ethanol, ether and acetone, almost insoluble in water. Anthraquinones are often found in the higher plants of Polygonaceae, Leguminosae, Rubiaceae and Rhamnaceae, as well as in the metabolites of the lower plants of lichens and fungi.
