The MSE PRO™ Iron (III) Nitrate Nonahydrate, Iron nitrate nine water is colorless to light purple monoclinic crystal. Melting point 47.2°C. Relative density 1.684. Relative density 1.684, decomposed when heated to 125℃. Soluble in water, soluble in ethanol and acetone, slightly soluble in nitric acid. Easy to deliquesce. Oxidizing. Aqueous solution can be decomposed into ferrous nitrate and oxygen by ultraviolet rays. Contact with flammable products can cause combustion, skin irritation. Slightly deliquescent, decompose when heated to 125°C. Soluble in water, ethanol and acetone, slightly soluble in cold concentrated nitric acid. Analytical reagent (absorption of acetylene), catalyst, copper coloring agent.
