MSE PRO™ Methyl Green, Zinc Chloride Salt

The MSE PRO™ Methyl Green is a basic dye, can selectively bind to AT-rich regions in DNA, with a metallic luster, dissolved in water shows blue-green, dissolved in sulfuric acid is yellow, diluted to green, soluble in ethanol and methanol, insoluble in toluene, irritating.

Applications:

Used as nuclear stain, bacterial stain, widely used in enzyme histochemistry, immunostaining and in situ hybridization experiments. Used as a tracking dye in acidic buffers for electrophoresis. Also used in the methyl green pyrrolidone method to demonstrate DNA and RNA in tissue sections.
