MSE PRO™ Methyl Violet 2B
The MSE PRO™ Methyl Violet 2B is a cationic dye with triphenylmethane structure, a mixture of tetramethyl, pentamethyl, and hexamethyl derivatives of pararaffinine, of which pentamethyl derivatives are dominant. pH range: pH 0.13~0.5 (yellow to green), pH 1.0~1.5 (green to blue), pH 2.0~3.2 (blue to purple). Soluble in water and ethanol, purple color; soluble in glycerol and chloroform, almost insoluble in ether. Harmful, eye irritant, carcinogenic.

Applications:
Used as analytical reagent, photometric determination of zinc, cadmium, mercury, antimony, thallium, gold, etc. and precipitation of zinc, cadmium and antimony. Used as acid-base indicator, pH has three color change domains: pH0.13(yellow)-0.5(green), pH1.0(green)-1.5(blue), pH2.0(blue)-3.2(purple). Used as biological colorant, chemical synthesis, etc.
