The MSE PRO™ 3-Morpholinopropanesulfonic acid (MOPS) is an amphoteric compound that is a widely used buffer due to its broad pH stability, low toxicity, and low cost.MOPS is used in laboratory experiments to maintain a constant pH, as well as to denature proteins and to separate proteins and nucleic acids. A biological buffer, MOPS has buffering capacity in the pH range of 6.5 to 7.9.
