MSE PRO™ Sodium Acetate Anhydrate

The MSE PRO™ Sodium acetate is a hydrophilic organic compound, which can be produced by treating acetic acid with sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide. It is easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol and ether. It can be weathered in air. It is hygroscopic. Anhydrous sodium acetate can be used as esterifying agent in organic synthesis, as well as photographic drugs, pharmaceuticals, printing and dyeing mordant, buffer, chemical reagent, meat preservation, pigment and many other aspects, and it can be used to make a variety of chemical products, such as furan acrylic acid, acetic acid ester and chloroacetic acid.

Applications:

It can be used as neutralizer, catalyst, food additive and buffer to maintain specific pH value. Effective as a buffer for acetic acid in the pH 3.6-5.6 range. It is used for the precipitation of nucleic acids and the preparation of gel stains for protein gel electrophoresis. It is used as a buffer for flavoring agent to prevent discoloration and has a certain anti-mold effect. It can also be used as a souring agent for seasoning sauce, sauerkraut, mayonnaise, fish cake, sausage, bread, rice cake and so on.
