The MSE PRO™ Vancomycin HCl is taken from Streptomyces, a narrow spectrum antibiotic that is effective only against gram-positive bacteria. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, which mainly binds to the bacterial cell wall and prevents certain amino acids from entering the glycopeptides of the cell wall. Sensitive to light and moisture. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in dilute methanol, insoluble in higher alcohols, acetone, ether.
