Overview

Thermogravimetric-Mass Spectrometry (TG-MS) is an analytical technique that combines thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) with mass spectrometry (MS) to study material composition and thermal stability. As a sample is heated, TG-MS measures the weight changes and simultaneously analyzes the gases evolved, allowing for detailed information on decomposition processes, thermal stability, and compositional breakdown. This makes it valuable in fields such as materials science, polymer analysis, and environmental testing.

• Maximum temperature up to 1500℃, with selectable atmospheres: nitrogen, air, oxygen, argon, and helium.
• The temperature range and available atmospheres may vary by laboratory. Once the order is submitted, we will verify if the order requirements can be met.

• Sample Recovery Notice: This is a destructive test; samples used in testing cannot be recovered. Only any remaining sample (if available) can be returned.

Sample Requirement

• For powder samples, prepare approximately 20 mg; for bulk samples, the dimensions should be diameter <3 mm and height <3 mm. For liquid samples, please contact the local project manager.
• If the sample contains more than 10% of components like acid radicals, halogens, sulfur, or phosphorus, please contact the relevant supervisor to confirm feasibility.
• Currently, we do not accept energetic, flammable, or explosive samples.

Analytical Service Minimum order requirement: $250 per order. A $200 handling fee will be applied if order is below $250.
