Kemet have a variety of mounting methods suitable for all types of grinding and polishing consumables

Non adhesive grinding papers

Non adhesive papers can be used with a paper holding ring. This clamps the papers in place and allows for easy and fast changing.Paper rings available to suit 200, 250 and 300mm diameter platens

Self adhesive grinding papers

Self adhesive consumables can be used in 3 different ways

Option 1: The self adhesive disc can be fixed directly to the plate.

Option 2: The Kemtak disc is used with Bramet self adhesive grinding papers. It can be mounted onto the machine platen or onto the KMS disc if it is being used with a magentic platen. The plastic barrier film on the Bramet grips the Kemtak non-skid surface so that the adhesive is not used. This makes it faster and cleaner when changing from one grit size to another (Fig 1).

KemTak-M

Self-adhesive disc on flexible magnetic backing. Will mount directly onto magnetic disc.

KemTak-S

Self-adhesive disc on 1mm thick metal backing. Will mount directly onto magnetic disc.

KemTak Plus

The KemTak plus has an mylar film with adhesive on both sides. Will mount directly onto magnetic disc.

Option 3: Self adhesive grinding papers or polishing cloths can be mounted onto KMS stainless steel disc. The machine platen is fitted with a magnetic disc. This allows easy change from one consumable to another.
