Overview
A Low-Voltage Transmission Electron Microscope (LV-TEM) operates at reduced electron acceleration voltages, typically below 100 kV, which makes it ideal for imaging delicate or beam-sensitive samples. This technique provides high-resolution imaging while minimizing radiation damage, preserving the structural integrity of materials like biological specimens, polymers, and other sensitive materials. Low-voltage TEM is particularly useful for applications requiring detailed surface and interface analysis at the nanoscale, making it valuable in fields like materials science, biology, and nanotechnology.
Sample Requirement

Testing Voltage: 80/100/120 kV.

Applicable Samples: Suitable for analysis and research of samples with high organic content or samples that are sensitive to electron radiation.

Sample Thickness: Should not exceed 100 nm. If particles are slightly larger, they may be ground down to below 100 nm (SEM imaging can be used first to determine particle size).

Sample Preparation: Generally, a microgrid copper grid is sufficient for preparation. If particle diameter is less than 10 nm, use an ultra-thin carbon film for preparation. If the sample contains Cu and requires EDS analysis and mapping, consider using nickel or molybdenum grids. Thin film or bulk samples may need additional preparation (e.g., ion thinning, embedding and sectioning, FIB, etc.).

Magnetic Samples: Particle size should not exceed 200 nm, and self-prepared samples are not accepted.
