Applications

Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have attracted increasing attention owing to their diverse properties ranging from insulator to metal and promising for a wide range of applications. TMDs and their 2D van der Waals heterostructures have been proposed and demonstrated in various applications, such as electronics, optoelectronics, photonics and photovoltaics.

Zirconium Disulfide (ZrS2) is a transparent semiconducting TMD with an indirect band gap of 1.28 eV. In addition it has an empty d valence band, good thermodynamic stability and is environmentally friendly. The memory/switching effect and high solar energy conversion efficiency are well-known properties of ZrS2. In recent years, researchers have been studying it as a promising candidate material for light detectors, solar cells, photo-catalysts, Li-ion batteries and lubricant additives due to its graphene-like structure.

More detailed product information including SDS, certificate of analysis (COA), lead time and volume pricing are available upon request.
