MSE PRO™ Glycine
The MSE PRO™ Glycine is widely used as a buffer in various immunological experiments. Glycine is a component of Tris-glycine and Tris-glycine-SDS running buffers for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, as well as a component of transfer buffers in protein blotting experiments. Glycine is also used as an eluent in column chromatography. It has been shown that glycine can be used in the enzymatic determination of lactic acid by lactate dehydrogenase. Glycine has the characteristics of low mobility, hydrophobicity, does not bind to proteins, has no odor and sweet taste. It is soluble in water, extremely insoluble in ethanol, and almost insoluble in acetone and ether.
