MSE PRO™ Sodium Citrate Tribasic Dihydrate
The MSE PRO™ Hydrate form of sodium citrate. Trisodium citrate dihydrate is a weakly acidic conjugate base that resists changes in pH. Citrate is one of a series of compounds responsible for the physiological oxidation of fats, carbohydrates and proteins to carbon dioxide and water. Citrate has anticoagulant activity and acts as a calcium chelator forming complexes capable of disrupting the tendency of blood to clot. Sodium citrate is an anticoagulant.
